The ex-girlfriend of a former modeling agent-turned-presidential special envoy is threatening Melania Trump with legal action while vowing to tear down the first lady’s “corrupt system.”

Amanda Ungaro, a 41-year-old former model from Brazil, threatened to upend the first lady’s life in a series of intensifying posts on X just hours before Trump on Thursday disavowed all ties to Jeffrey Epstein or knowledge of his crimes.

Interesting that she apparently had knowledge that would tear down “corrupt system” before but wasn’t interested in sharing it until the corrupt system turned on her.

If we only accept evidence with people with pure motives, we’re screwed even worse than we already are. A lot of evidence comes from people with ulterior motives: snitch testimony, plea bargains, defensive blackmail. And the legal system is set up to examine the truth of those claims, keeping in mind the biases of the source.

And it’s also worth keeping in mind that people going against Trump often face death threats, and seem to have a higher risk of deaths under weird circumstances than the population at large (Brunel and Epstein, for example). So, even if Amanda Ungaro’s motives are pure (which I doubt), there would still be good reasons for her to keep her mouth shut.

Exactly. Same mentality is used when going after drug cartels, and the like. You have to begin by understanding that you’re going to be dealing with people who were OK with what is/was going on. Fortunately, evil people don’t tend to be loyal to one another for very long, and that’s usually their biggest weakness from a “getting what they deserve” standpoint.

“Now it’s war. We’ll see who wins. I kept quiet for years, and because of that, people judge me. They ask me, why are you speaking now? Because the man would not let me live in peace! I tried. I left the relationship with nothing, left my son at boarding school, and went to work,” Ungaro said last Tuesday in an interview at her new home, a penthouse in Rio de Janeiro. “It was not enough for him to destroy me during 20 years of relationship: he wanted to destroy me again when I started a new life, when I got married.”

She explicitly addresses this in the article linked. It sounds like Zampolli had her and her husband accused of fraud, then sent to a concentration camp detention center and deported her to get custody of their kid.

She’s being interviewed in a penthouse in rio de janeiro while simultaneously saying she “has nothing”.
