    I think there is a theory that the gunpowder smell is actually the small of the vacuum of space. Possibly even science + vacuum + the iron in your blood near the nostrils.

      Why don’t they scoop some space up in a jar and give it a whiff when they get back inside?

    Regolith is very sharp because it doesn’t have atmospheric forces to agitate it and cause the sort of erosion that makes things smooth. On top of that, no water means there’s nothing to ‘bind’ it like clay or mud; but also, as soon as it does touch water, it will want to stick.

    Apparently moon dust became a significant problem for lunar excursions because it got everywhere
