Woke up in a prison cell Thursday morning 😭 was blackout drunk and seemed to of broken a bone in my foot. I thought it was just bruised but after sending a foot PIC to my bro, he said to get it checked out. I have walked 25,000 steps on a broken foot!

Posting here for solidarity. I’m going full sobriety again. I can’t trust myself to be an adult when drinking.

As to my night in the cell, they aren’t charging me. And I get to wear this fancy pants boot for the next couple of months

Your picture has your NHS number, I recommend you reupload on a new thread and I’ll purge this one from the database so the pic is inaccessible, just let me know.

Hope you’re doing better! Feel you right, currently stuck for almost a week in bed due to an irritated nerve (if you’re sitting or standing for a long time, please do stretches!)

Its a wonder you walked at all.

It’s an NHS number. Someone who has access to (British) medical records could look it up. Not usable by most people.

Sorry about your foot, that looks excruciating. Glad to hear that you are taking the right lesson from your experience and that they didn’t charge you with anything in the end. Best of luck on your sobriety journey!

The only real pain had come from putting my shoe on, I’ve had alot worse from a lot less. The xray nurse was shocked that I had walked in and assumed it was just severe bruising. Hard as nail lol. And yes, this is the kick in the ass that will keep me in line. I’m attending an alcohics anonymous type thing (non religious), with a friend soon. I had been found blundering around a coastal path in the dark. And where I am, the coast isn’t safe this time of year.
