    It’s incredible what lengths humans are going to in order to avoid dragging a fibre optic line into a remote area.

    I think Starlink is fantastic (the engineering work not musk) and it’s a great thing for many remote applications, but they’re positioning it for use as backup internet in urban areas and primary internet for anyone outside of a dense urban area, which simply isn’t appropriate.

    I don’t buy the opposition to orbital datacenters. I think that’s just the perfect being the enemy of the good, which (sadly) is very common in environmental activism.

    We can’t let physics get in the way of Elon Musk’s ambitions!
