People reflexively down vote anything from any Russian source especially about Ukraine. It’s a defense mechanism to sooth their cognitive dissonance.
Bots.
There’s a couple of accounts that specialize in posting articles from Russian websites, and every time they get almost instantly about -25 votes and then up votes (and some down votes too) trickle organically for the rest of the day.
I’ll leave the conclusion about what’s going on to you.
