Editor’s note: Original showrunner Beau DeMayo was fired by Disney before the premiere of the first season and had announced they would remove his name from writing credits from the second season after an internal investigation and “the egregious nature of the findings…” without going into specifics. However, as of this trailer’s release, DeMayo’s name is included in the published credits as both executive producer and writer on the show’s second season.
I think the published credits they are referring to are here on a marvel.com press release that went out today, in case anyone else was wondering what the source was.
Very interesting. I guess enough people raised hell about DeMayo getting fired for Disney to bring him back?
Disney never went into specifics on the reasons why they sent DeMayo packing, though words were published about him having an OnlyFans account (as a viewer?). My purely speculative guess is that they scared up some horny-on-main posts from him, but I have no evidence of that.
Maybe Disney looked into the search histories of everybody who worked on the Zootopia movies and decided DeMayo’s transgressions weren’t so bad. 🤷🏼♀️
