With this, Republicans have a much better shot at winning the governor’s seat. Democrats love chasing those marginal victories and are perfectly happy losing to fascism if it prevents winning with progressive policies.

I’m disappointed in Katie Porter and the other dems that had no chance for not dropping out when it was clear where this was headed. The freaking ballot for Governor was all of one side with a bunch of people I had never heard anything about.

I’m so disappointed in my fellow Californians. Becerra will most likely be the next governor, so we can expect no meaningful progress on the issues that California voters actually care about. Thanks to the insane amounts of money he took from the worst corporations on the planet, he has no incentive to change the status quo.
