But once I installed the beta it’s been working like a dream. Maybe I should delete the stable version and try again, but it’s working now and I’m incredibly lazy.
Also didn’t know it was one person’s project. You know if they got a “buy me a coffee” thing or anything set up?
Not sure I know the guy is Ukrainian and it’s impressive he gets so many updates out considering. But yeah I only know of the scare mainly because of reddit making a huge deal about it and claiming the sky was falling etc.
But yeah I think the github is about the only way to contact him really.
I just updated my smart tube app cause they broke the stable version. Beta is working just fine though
Mines got no issues I’m watching it now.
My stable install is many updates behind. So much so that I couldn’t update in app. It still wasn’t a problem with kutt.to/stn_beta though.
You may have been on the version that was possibly exploited he stopped updates to that one and advised people to manually install the fixed one.
I think he was being paranoid though, he did it because his PC was hacked and there’s no evidence anything was actually compromised on Smarttube.
