  • I’m probably gonna get a lot of flak for this, but definitely team rocket of the mainline pokemon anime. They basically kept harassing a kid, who I was so glad they replaced in New Horizons, and had no life after gen 5. Gen 5 was their absolute peak, before they went from doing serious spy type work for their boss back to harassing an annoying kid.

After a few series, they get kinda boring because they become nothing more than another box to check off for episode production. Felt like they didn’t have anything cool left to do, outside the gen 8 episode where their alternate universe selves are using dialga and palkia fighting to turn everyone’s pokemon into eggs so they can steal them.

I have only seen maybe the first 20-30 episodes of New Horizons and I am so glad they have a new evil team taking the reins.

  • That table is the best table you’ll ever get. Will last for a very long time so long as it wasn’t made after maybe the 80s or 90s. So long as you ain’t doing anything rough on it, it will last a lifetime.

Though, growing up, we had nicer wood back chairs. I never had problems with them. Worst problem I had was always being the one who had to take a seat that was up against a wall, so I had to slide in and didn’t have a lot of room to adjust where my chair was, besides maybe moving a little to the right.

  • IDK whether to call this superstition or what, but one foot always has to be the first foot off the stairs. I sometimes count the stairs if it’s easy enough to ensure I step on with the correct foot so I can step off on the correct foot.

Though, I guess you could say me always wiping my hand on my jeans or touching something else before touching a metal doorknob/handle as a superstition as well, maybe.

  • Would need a lot of control tweaking, both from Steam input and in game controls, but it looks like Mindustry might be less than a gig of storage. At least the free version you can get from either itch or github is.

Seems those versions are currently slightly less than 100mb for current non bleeding edge releases. I found the folder for my installed Steam version and it says it’s nearly 160mb, so there’s that. Didn’t realize it was such a small game, but it’s fun. Much better if you have a mouse and keyboard rather than just touch controls, coming from someone who started off playing it on mobile.

Only $9.99USD ( IDK what that would be in other currency ) on Steam to get steam supported things like workshop or seemless multiplayer, but if you are like me and only play single player campaign, the free versions are just as fine.

  • Out of the dreams I can recall:

    1. One where “I” ended up basically investigating a building atop a hill with someone, ended up in a basement with mirrors all over the wall and white paint underneath. Had a bunch of white circular tables for children. Standard office white lights. Ended up getting spooked, ran out, and was being chased and stabbed by “myself”, with a third person view of the stabbing.

    2. At the old elementary school I attended, someone that looks like the Hyperion CEO from Borderlands Robot Revolution DLC basically started a cult. “I” did my best to escape, only to get caught and brought to the gym. People were strapped to those flat ambulance rolling bed things. A statue that was like a mixture of the cow statue from the game 60 Parsecs and the Fullmetal Alchemist mangaka’s cow with glasses drawings was used as some sort of brainwashing thing. It span and acted kinda like a nightlight, with dots of light spinning all over the walls, which looked like they came straight out of the game Quantum Conundrum ( specifically red walls without any dimension shifts ). Then next part of the dream is me in a desk in a room at the middle school I attended. Looked like part of the front office. Desks were in a circle and for whatever reason we had some sort of math homework. I think it pretty much ended there.

    3. This is the most recent dream I can really recall, specifically one major part of it. It was me relaxing in my room, on my bed, when my dad, with a full, rough to the touch, kinda beard came in. The lighting in the room was more of a light purple. He comes over and basically gets down and rubs his beard all over my stomach despite me telling him “no!” and trying, unsuccessfully, to stop him. Next thing I remember, I’m in a vehicle for a night drive somewhere with my mom driving and my brother in passenger seat. I was behind the drivers seat. We were in a tunnel with a similar purple light. Told them what happened and they told me maybe I should take some time away from my dad. That’s all I can remember, but it stuck with me enough that I did try to avoid my dad a little the day after.

What makes the last dream so crazy is just how unlike my dad that is. I have no idea why I ever would dream something like that, but it has absolutely stuck with me over the past week or two.

  • Easy! For Sonic fans, especially us older fans, it’s always new Sonic game bad after a game launches, for the most part. Sometimes it’s deserved, like how buggy Sonic '06 is or how character turning on the 3DS port of Sonic Lost World is horrific IMO. But sometimes it’s just something like people not liking cutscene changes in a remaster( rerelease? ) of an older title ( how I personally feel about the Sonic x Shadow Generations cutscene and dialogue changes ).

Just like most fandoms, I swear Sonic fans are never truly happy, unless it’s something like Sonic Mania. And even then I have heard people complaining that they should have just made only new zones instead of the few they did reuse from other of the old 2D titles.

I, for one, cannot escape the new game bad thing myself considering I refuse to touch the latest racing game on account of me believing the Riders series was and is infinitely better ( so long as anything Free Riders that isn’t the Crush40 song Free is included ).

  • I have become a big Brok The InvestiGator sucker, so I am absolutely looking forward to the spin-off survival visual novel Celsius Strays.

In Brok The InvestiGator, rats are known as squealers and are banned from Atlasia, where the game takes place. That’s a very minor spoiler since they’re mostly a nothing burger group you basically don’t see at all after the first chapter.

But in this spin-off game, which has a playable demo, you play as the chief of the squealers. The whole entire plot is centered around you making choices to help your colony survive as the hot months are coming soon. Your choices can end up getting more food, more things like bedding and clothing, machine parts to fix a water purifier thing, and I think one other thing I can’t remember right now. All supplies needed for the survival of your people.

There’s also a plot featuring a mystery character that is brought in during the chapter 1 demo, so I am absolutely pumped to learn about this mystery fellow and how he plays a role in what happens in chapter 1 that really kicks things in motion.

The moment I found out about it, I immediately downloaded the demo and played through it. For the most part, it feels like it has a pretty dark story with some minor comedic relief so far, with a little lighthearted moment in the end of the demo.
