Because this was the main reason Russian government mentioned to justify the attacks.

And I’m sorry, but I think if tomorrow India starts attacking Brazil and far right people playing a significant role in defending it, Lula will also be forced to shake their hands in few years. Just because in this situation they are the lower risk and he needs them.

If Russia stops the war and leaves Ukraine completely, Ukraine will have the chance to show they are doing something against Nazis. The earlier, the easier because they have less time to earn ‚honour in war‘. But as long as Ukraine is dependent on everyone supporting their defence, it won’t be possible.

Also I think it’s always funny to mention this in the context of Russian und Ukrainian war. Putins politic is currently probably closer to Hitler than to any communistic leader.

No you’re lying about what I say. I didn’t said anything of what you accuse me. I just say, that none of these reasons where a justification for Russia to attack Ukraine and kill people. And again your only point was „but someone else is doing so too“. Man, grow up. Communism doesn’t deserve such a bad reputation you provide.

Far right party Svoboda got 2,16% of votes during the 2019 election. By the begin of the war over 300 international scientists and experts in World War Two, Holocaust, national socialism and genocide signed a letter, that Ukraine can’t be called a Nazi-regime, although they have for sure, like every other country, far right people. Also Jewish people in Ukraine publicly claim that they feel more threatened by Putin and Russian missiles than by right extremists inside their country. But for sure, you know better, keyboard warrior.

But let’s follow this reason for war: why isn’t Russia attacking Germany, where the far right party is stronger than ever since WW2? Why isn’t it attacking USA, where MAGA is probably closer to the Nazis than anyone in Europe was since the war? Why isn’t it attacking China, that politics is far far away from national socialism but still highly dominated by racism? Why isn’t it attacking Argentina and southern Brasil, where you still can see and feel in everyday life that many German Nazis moved there after WW2?

Well, seems we have a deeply different perception of reality. It’s hard for me to understand yours without assuming hardly brainwashing or lying, but I don’t see a reason to discuss this as we won’t agree on that.

Russia is the part of the United Nations, as the official announced follower state of Soviet Union even a founding member and permanent part of the UN Security Council. And currently in Ukraine it’s violating many many rules of the UN Charta. Don’t come with ‚USA is Doing also!‘ because shit USA or anyone else is doing isn’t a reason to do the same or worse.

Some people in Ukrainian oblast wanted Ukraine to be part of Russia. That’s not a reason to invade. Neither in Ukraine nor other countries. I think almost every countries has parts of the population that wants to belong to another country or independence. That isn’t a justification to send troops to this country and and harm UN Charta.

And by the way: the international criminal court (ratified by 125 countries all over the world, also many from the global south) not just issued an arrest warrant because of war crimes against humanity and genocide for Putin but also for Netanjahu. I support both of them and think it should be common sense for anyone interested in human rights and peace. And downvoting me because of this tells a lot about yourself.

So the attempts to conquer Ukraine, make Belarus, Moldavia and others to vassal states and publicly mentioned wishes to reunite Soviet Union are not Imperialism for you? Okay, we don’t need to further discuss then.

For me, every country military attacking other countries and not respecting borders, sovereignty and humanity is to blame. Doesn’t matter which Color they have of language they speak. I’m to mature for Cold War Like bandwagoning

Dude (or Dudette/Dudettex, before someone shifts the conversation again to gender related topics), having far right/nationalistic groups inside your country doesn’t mean it’s a Nazi-state. Otherwise almost every country of the world would be one. Especially also Russia.

Also me picking this particular post wasn‘t about this particular meme but because it was the 4th or 5th post of OP in my timeline in few minutes. It was spam. And the other ones were way more specific about Ukraine = Nazi.

if you want my personal opinion about this meme and the other countries:

    • USA in Iran is a stupid, unjustified war/attack to distract from US-national politics, problems and child rape. Still Iran government is also inhumane to its own people, but US is making worse currently
    • Russia attacking Ukraine is a stupid, unjustified war because of an old dictator thinking he is god. So many war crimes and civilian deaths and the only person able to stop it sits in Russia. When Russian troops are 100% back in Russia and Ukraine is still trying to capture more land we can talk about them. Till then, it’s completely about Russia. Ukraine didn’t start the fight, they are still defending their own territory.
    • Israel is committing war crimes and genocide in Palestine.
    • China isn’t related at all currently. As long as they don’t invade Taiwan and their troops stay on Chinese ground, there is no sense at all to include them in this meme

If you believe in heaven, getting killed by Russian military for defending your home and freedom is something you could count as ‚liberated‘. Go to Bachmut. Go to Mariupol. Show me how liberated these cities are now.

Why not starting to liberate Russian cities, before invading another sovereign country? Go to Moscow and protest loud on a public street against Putin. Or against high prices. Or against anything else. You will find yourself in prison fast. One of the last countries in the world that should liberate others.

Corruption is a problem in Ukraine? Absolutely. But guess which country is even lower in international corruption indexes?

There is a lot of western Propaganda. But it needs no propaganda to see that Russia is a dictatorial, highly corrupt state with very little freedom.

  • Power corrupts people. Everyone powerful, even with the best intentions starting, becomes more or less evil because there is no good regulation and feedback. The transformation to communism needs people with power to ensure society stays on its path. So has every socialism country. Having a powerful minority ruling the population will cause discrimination and abuse because almost nobody will give back his power by choice.

growing up in a country with socialism past I can say that the change to democracy has changed more to the good than to the worse. Sure there were some things better back then. But overall it’s a better society now. Not ignoring, that there are many things really bad in our current mainly capitalistic democracy damaging it from inside. And doesn’t matter which country with a former socialism system you look into: the majority of people experiencing both say overall it changed to the better.

I hope one day humanity will evolve to a point where ideal communism will work. But I don’t expect us to experience this soon. And if we get to this point, we won’t need something like socialism for transition.
