Yeah since then, and I’ve done pair programming both in the office and online. It didn’t feel that different. The biggest advantage of the office is you get to know people better. I guess it’s easier to chase seniors in an office as a junior if they don’t have time for you but I hate being that person either way.

My first junior job was entirely WFH and it didn’t seem that hard. Messages and calls exist. It’s not like your only interaction with people is through async PR comments.

I’m convinced most people learning English have at some point resolved to pronouncing wed-nes-day and be-a-u-ti-ful in their head just to remember the spelling.

Not mentioned yet, people working at real estate agencies (at least for renting). They take a lot of money from both sides and at best just unlock the houses so people can see them, at worst they are actively disruptive to the process.

Photos/videos from my phone get backed up on two laptops and eventually an external drive. Photos from cameras do the same with the more interesting photos going to my phone as well. These all tend to be on the same physical location so I really should find better way.
If smart glasses become mainstream you’ll have many people wearing them in public. And you can choose privacy respecting glasses but most people will not. So maybe let’s not make them mainstream.

And this is why graffiti is not bad. If companies get to alter public spaces with their ads to make money, then people should be able to alter public spaces for artistic reasons.

You’d still need to get to your destination somehow

Is 1000€ a common price for a bike in the Netherlands? It seems a bit much for a bike that will be stolen at an inconvenient time.

But careful not to update too fast and fall on the supply chain attack of the week.
The trouble is when you don’t remember them but also don’t have an alternative set up and are just expecting things to work.
Ideally you remember a minimum of 3-4 phone numbers that can help you in an emergency and give you access to the rest of the phone numbers.
You should put that on your CV, that’s honestly impressive
Many times you can inspect element and the actual date is right there, they’re just choosing to display it poorly.

Same vibe as “interesting…”

And the phone number thing is already happening too. Google, discord and probably other stuff already ask for a phone number to prove you are a human when they flag your account.
I love that lemmy is so techy, this is in c/memes of all places

Have you considered the possibility you are a robot? /s
There are other captcha providers. If only companies would start using them instead of Google.

That’s a big if though, considering that Chromebooks didn’t exactly take off either.
In my subscribed feed there are three types of posts that are heavily downvoted
I don’t vote/comment much but this shouldn’t be affected by other peoples’ votes anyway.
