0·4 months agoLack of reading comprehension because they never claimed it was intended to literally be a physical law or an actual scientific theory meant to describe reality. Just shared charicteristics with those things, which they already listed. (falsifiable, measurable, etc)
Again, nobody is making an appeal to tradition to say Moore’s Law is literally a physical law or was ever meant to be one.
It was only ever called a “law” because it was hilarious that such a nigh off-hand postulate turned out to be even close to reality.
It’s literally not, but you go ahead and feel smart for lack of reading comprehension!
Even high quality audio isn’t 4GB for a movie. Not FLAC or even 48khz WAV.
1·6 months agoA tool of a person is a fool who is being used by someone else. They might not be useful to you, but to who ever makes the koolaid they’re drinking, they’re a very good tool.
1·8 months agoWhy was it exposed to the internet with all ports open? Even Linux is getting hacked if you’re fucking rawdogging every packet that shows up…
(yes I know it’s likely from a bunch of BS services only Windows would be dumb enough to enable by default, but the point still stands that any computer that’s exposed to the internet directly needs to be carefully locked down)
Why are you even listening to the opinions of CHUDs?
The problem with new trek isn’t “wokeness”, too little or too much. It’s that they abandoned what made Trek so unique: It’s supposed to be a time after humanity has dealt with all of the stupid in-fighting and conservative BS. It’s supposed to be about a time when the drama doesn’t come from inside the house. When humanity is exploring the stars, not having a moment.
It’s just a complete lack of imagination. It’s not like Trek has ever been wanting for drama. They just decided to write new Trek in the lamest, same-old Hollywood way possible.
The problem is it’s action and drama scifi now, and not a real vision of a better future. It’s no longer unique or enlightened. It’s just drama with Trek paint.
