I’ve tried a second user a few times but found it annoying.

What I do is everything in one user. I disable any app that I need once in a while that doesn’t respect my privacy. For example, the Amazon app. I need this app (pin is not an option) to open their locker a few times per year. I leave it disabled until I’m standing in front of the locker.

Maybe you could try Orbot or the free tier of Protonvpn for some of your profiles instead of using three Mullvadvpn devices?

We have had adblockers for decades so ads aren’t really an issue with a few minutes of effort.

Ads don’t make people unemployed, less intelligent, use up all a city’s water or power supply, and jack up the price of RAM.

It was the codec. I added them in and it never worked for me but every forum and site all said to do the same thing. I gave up fighting my computer and found another way.

As for the pros. Free, runs great on old used hardware, updates don’t really bugger the system, super easy on system resources, my used computer has 8 gb of ddr4 and that is plenty for my usage.

Con. Doesn’t play all video formats. When I first switched to Fedora 42 I tried for a week to get videos to play. Every “tutorial” and forum gave the same ineffective answer. Now I just copy any video to my old Android tablet and watch them that way. Please, no advise on this, I’m happy with my solution, thanks.
