Loving the game too! I’ve been telling people Dark Souls plus Links Awakening with some platforming in the too, but it’s a hard game to describe.
I am pretty disappointed in the story. They feel like they kinda halfway committed to having an actual story, but completely forgot to make Mina an actual character. With how hard the game rubs the “twist” in your face, having a talking protagonist just ignore clear signs that something is wrong was… Annoying. I almost thought the game was hinting at me to go find/talk to Thorne but no.

His own entire party has already officially censored him because of his pardoning of Tina Peters. He’s been a almost entirely useless government his entire time.

Scientists need to be aware of their own biases, including feelings of gratitude towards the people funding their research. These biases can absolutely influence how and which evidence is presented in the results.
Considering the context of this comment, I’m honestly confused about why you’re confused.

Because I’m lazy and want to be able to watch my stuff from anywhere, and let my friends access my library easily across all their devices.
Setting up Jellyfin for remote access is not trivial. Maybe for a lot of self hosting people it’s fairly simple, but it’s not nearly as simple as just downloading and running the Plex server software.
I paid for a lifetime account when it was 250, and I felt like it was worth it. At 750 like it is now, I probably would actually have considered figuring out Jellyfin. As with everything, it’s a money/time analysis and it’s less of my time to host Plex.

For real. The game is pretty boring on anything under hazard 3.

I really like my surface pros, have a 2016 one that still runs great even though the battery is starting to bulge a bit. My mom got a non-pro and had lots of issues.

I’m not a fan of this take. Peaceful protests are just one piece of an effective resistance. People complaining that big protests “don’t do anything” are sometimes right, but more often they assume that nothing else is being done before/afterwards and don’t understand the actual useful effects of protests.
Protests aren’t always about (actually pretty much never about) an immediate demand being met. They’re about getting people together and building a network of likeminded people. They’re about demonstrating to others around you that they might not be alone in thinking things aren’t OK. They’re a step in the process.

Let go of the idea of “success” being passing the check. There are lots of incredible failure results in the game, just roll with the randomness and let the world happen.

Yeah, I mean… This is just “company releases Linux gaming pc” and just noting that it has a better graphics card than the Steam Machine.
I’ve gone through this with shows, and all I can say is that you tune out the studio laughter after a few episodes.

I played Red Room a decent amount when it first came out and hadn’t been completely taken over by children, and it was a great time! Apparently I had earned some fancy items, and over the last 8 years I’ve had like 20 people cold-messaging me on various platforms because I used the same username on Rec Room and they wanted the items.

The point is that humans are weird at evaluating risk.
Past a certain size, sample size stops mattering. You can filter the data to try and control for outliers and confounding variables, but with as much data we have on driving and flying, it’s just a fact that you are much more likely to be in an accident in a SINGLE car drive than you are in a SINGLE airplane ride.
And if you really think about it, it makes sense. All the pilots are heavily trained. They mostly don’t need to be constantly alert looking for other vehicles/pedestrians. The density of traffic in the air is much lower than a road, so you’re just way less likely to hit another plane and you don’t need to avoid pedestrians.
You are me! I can nap on my back, but something about night time sleeping makes me require laying on my side. Cannot go to sleep at night on my back at all.

DARE programs were notoriously ineffective. Some studies found that students who went through it were MORE likely to try drugs.
I also had a fairly friendly cop come in for our DARE classes when I was a kid. They also basically just said “drugs are always bad, just say no, if you don’t your whole life is ruined.”
They didn’t talk about why people use drugs. They lied or exaggerated negative effects. They discouraged any critical thinking about it. It was not a good program.

Honestly this was my biggest “wtf” takeaway from this. There’s a Microsoft Copilot DISCORD SERVER? Are there other “official” Discord servers for other random Microsoft products? Why aren’t they using Teams or whatever?

Is there any data on how many actual people still regularly use Twitter? I feel like you’re assuming that that’s where the users are, and maybe that’s still true, but I don’t know a single real life person who still actually uses it.
Yeah fuck that experiment. Has any experiment generated more misanthrope than The Stanford Prison experiment?
