That’s a little hopeful to hear. When I was researching my purchase I had considered a Qidi machine but the reviews were inconsistent at the time. This was back early '24 though. I think my Microcenter warranty on the P1S is running out soon.
Nice. Software developer, gamer, occasionally 3d printing, coffee lover.

As much as I’m distressed to see the current situation with Bambu Lab I wouldn’t consider it “falling for relentless marketing”. They are/were genuinely ahead of the curve.
I’ve owned 3 different 3D printers before my P1S in the nearly decade I’ve been 3D printing (I got my first in 2017) and Bambu was the first to actually deliver on being “plug and play” when compared to the competition.
I’m hopeful the situation when my P1S kicks the bucket has changed (it may already have but I’m not in the market so I haven’t checked). But for now I’m just not updating the firmware.
This is actually the slogan of WeRateDogs! https://weratedogs.com/

There’s also speculative decoding and adjacent techniques getting traction, increasing performance of the models on the same hardware.

Ditto. A smart home that can operate even if the Internet is offline was one of my core goals setting this up. And save for a few exceptions, I accomplished it. It’s so jarring now to go on vacation and not have all this automation.

Maybe make your own post instead of trying to hijack this one with a inflammatory statement masquerading as a question.

The psychological reaction behind a victim’s response is varied and largely unknown. There are many, many factors at play. Fear is a large part, for sure. Our media tends to portray victims poorly - and people react poorly as well. There are so many factors at play that usually culminate in “it’s better if I just keep quiet”. Just like similar factors come into play when it becomes public and now you’re feeling pressure to also speak up.
Honestly I left proxmox/virtualization OSes a while back for simple RHEL. I have Docker for most everything and the few things I need full virt for the features Cockpit provides are more than enough. If I ever get back into clustering I’ll look at proxmox again.
It’s flawed and sketchy anyway.

With. The site narrowed me down to the ligatures.

I got Fira Code, the font I currently use. Guess that makes sense then. Huh.

I would say it’ll catch people who find a comic already stripped of attribution and want to reshare it, but that’s fine - the onus of fixing that / properly sourcing it should be on the one (re)sharing it.

Good. This shit doesn’t make sense in the first place. Is the fucking highway liable when criminals use it to get to a victim?

My work has been pushing BMAD method hard on us software engineers and while I do agree using those prompts, scaffolding, and alot of babysitting, you can get fairly good results - it takes more effort than actually just writing the code.
Devs are going to get lazy and stop handholding and steering the LLMs, and since we’re now looping LLMs into code review, it’s going to miss stuff as well.

My dad is (was?) one of these. The dissonance was one of the reasons I rejected religion - their Bible tells them to be good stewards, but when asked why he supports stuff that harms the environment my dad’s excuse was that the world was ending soon and only those who didn’t get raptured would even be impacted by it.
I checked, the Bible doesn’t contain some “shit on the environment if the world is ending soon” clause or exception.

Regent pisses me off lol. All the others I got solid strategies with but regent is still a PITA

Physically unplugging it may not be enough and risks permanent damage. Installing a 50ohm terminator is a much safer option on all accounts and takes just about the same amount of effort as unplugging it ( ~$10 extra).
This is the guide I had used for my previous car: https://imgur.com/gallery/step-by-step-guide-to-disable-onstar-on-2022-chevy-bolt-this-is-reversible-not-permanent-n00QKnH#rGSoW34

Once you adjust it works well. The whole “find something at random to watch” paradigm is not really how *arr works, but if a coworker mentions a show I can have it ready when I get home.
Or don’t give your user docker and use sudo to use the docker CLI to get the same effect. Hell, you could even alias docker as
sudo dockerto get the same feel.
