Does anyone else feel like this is just a silly conversation between people who work closely being taken out of context?
Maybe I’m just biased, but this is the kinda crap my coworkers and I would say.

Aren’t “meat farms” typically referred to as “ranches”?
Honestly, I don’t think that’s the case. I initially upvoted this, but then retracted it and left a comment because I was worried I was platforming bigotry.
Looks like I was probably wrong, given the other replies I’ve gotten.
I’m afraid I don’t have a very concrete reason, just “bad vibes” stemming from its similarity to way too many gross transphobic comics with similar framing.
I guess even if it is innocent, transphobes have ruined this sort of absurdist humor for me.
Why does this feel vaguely transphobic?

Whoa, that looks fuckin sick

Er… Which one?
edit: Ah, I see, it’s a weird way to say “per employee of the semiconductor division”
lmao you were using this garbage?

The only time I have agreed with it is when Google used it for the “send feedback” dialog on Android, because that was hilarious.
I feel like this comic is trying to imply that Robocop (a classic Verhoeven satire) does not have a cerebral element…?
Not sure I would agree with that take.

Non-fissile material goes in, nuclear power comes out. Can’t explain that.

Hell, some of the more modern designs barely produce that…
Please ditch the AI art…

I’m right there with you when that kind of clickbaiting crops up, but this article actually isn’t doing that; they’re directly quoting the researchers:
[Manganese]-based passivation is a counter-intuitive discovery, which cannot be explained by current knowledge in corrosion science.
This seems like a genuinely novel discovery.

Nice try, corporate manager
I call BS - I have never seen gas prices (in the US) that don’t end in a “9”.
If this is “the best in the market”, then none of these things should be on the market.
Unfinished prototype technology should not be allowed to control multi-ton machines on public roads.
