As a new user I tried all the “easy” distro and they all just fucked me over really hard, they favor ease of use by restricting the user so anytime I went to do anything I just kept running into repeated minor problems. When I tried endeavor it #just works and with snapshot software you can always rollback most distros as far as I know so there is no reason to not reccomend a Linux distro that doesn’t hold your hand unless there is something suepr specific the person needs that for some reason is the only thing capable of doing it reasonably well.

I think they are saying add chatgpt in because if everyone adopts it outside and then they cant do it on the test then the test now does not effectively tell how the person is able to think to solutions because the test itself is “out of spec” of the typical person needing to do the things on the test.

Its like when calculators were allowed then disallowed then allowed again and now we can’t go without them a lot of the time while everyone now does more complex math and gets into higher level data sooner as a result of technological adoption.

I don’t think image generation is remotely useful in this format because I think it would be best used to just fetch things in a way that is like a universal fuzzy search.

I think the quality of the summaries and citations found are more to do with prompt skill than the ai itself, like for example we can look at how my original post caused so many people to have a visceral negative reaction where it was unwarranted just because it was not to their liking, but the content itself is actually somewhat reasonable.

I think nobody will settle on what agi actually is so I consider this not worth thinking about if the topic is restricted just to workflow things.

Oh I consider it quite well usually, just I didn’t care to do it this time because I figured it is reasonable for people to click the 2 links to figure out what this is if for some reason the title wasn’t enough and then they could read the rest if they wanted to but I guess this is too much to ask of people nowadays since we are too used to only reading things that are nice.

I figured the 3rd paragraph does that but it is a fair criticism that it isnt the first paragraph.
