  • I mean trying to make religious phrases awkward and less used kinda is a way to limit/remove organized religion’s power lol. We normalize it with our language, and if we stopped I think it would make it harder for religious talk to come across as serious. Not saying it’s not annoying - I personally find it a little cringe to police someone else’s language like that even if I do it to myself - but I see the idea behind what they’re doing















  • You may want to look into the lemmit.online instance, it mirrors reddit content here and may already mirror the comms you’re looking for. Like another commenter said tho, many people have defederated or blocked it because a lot of us use the fediverse rather than reddit for a reason - so don’t be too surprised if you get a similar response.

    I’m also not a fan of just mirroring reddit, but BAPC sales is one of the very few types of subreddit I can see being useful to mirror since it basically exists to be an rss feed and comments don’t provide as much value as usual. If you focus on comms like that maybe your instance would be less likely to be blocked?
