Last time I tried it, it wanted my media in a specific file structure, so I ended up having multiple instances of the same show. I could reorder everything but I got a plexpass when it was dirt cheap so I’m not that inclined to reorder everything.

If I was just starting out, I’d probably use Jellyfin but haven’t mostly due to inertia.

I used to use vim pretty exclusively, I’ve since switched to neovim. There have been a few cases where vim/nvim weren’t available but regular vi was and I’ve used it to edit text files. I imagine there were other editors but I’m so accustom to how vi/vim/neovim does things that I can’t imagine using anything else. Sometimes someone will try and convince me to use a new editor and I’ll try it but generally end up switching back to nvim. Even vi compatibility mode doesn’t really help because I use a bunch of plugins.

I’m excited… I probably wasn’t going to get the steam cube even before the hike in prices for RAM but if this works with Linux and is reasonably priced, I’ll probably get it. Hope it comes out soon.

I have a kindle that I’ve had for ages. It has been jailbroken for a while and I’ve been loading my own epubs onto it. They make it easy with the 1 click send to kindle stuff but that locks you in to their ecosystem.

I’ve gotten it to “work” but it’s fragile and updates tend to break it. I ended up switching to FreeCAD, it’s come a long way and version 1.1 is pretty great.

Raspberry Pi’s were amazing when they were like $30… cheap enough to be accessible to most people and you could do a lot with them. I still have an older Pi that runs pihole.

Now that it’s $300, there are a lot of other options out there. I find it hard to recommend a Pi anymore.

This is cool but I think the reason Ford isn’t selling many trucks is because they are expensive. And this at $95k… cool but too expensive for me. I realize batteries are expensive but they need to start making cheaper EVs. Not everyone can afford a luxury car/truck and the Lightning, while cool, is definitely a luxury truck.

Are you saying there is precedence for what we currently have? Trump seems to think that he’ll get impeached if republican’s don’t win. Then if he’s out, Vance and him seem to have differing opinions on the Epstein files. Vance has also had some things to say before getting all budy-budy with Trump.

France is currently investigating allegations. In fact 10 countries have opened investigations.

So I suspect Trump is in the files, hence the coverup but once he’s gone I think there might be enough public pressure to cause the next administration to do something.

I mean, Biden pardoned his family because he thought the new administration would go after them.

Of course, I can’t see the future and maybe it all gets swept under the rug, but I’m hopeful.

I don’t know if ever is the right term. I’m hopeful that once this administration is gone, the next administration might start doing their job and investigate some of these individuals, leading to prosecutions.

But I think you are certainly right that the current administration is corrupt and no prosecutions will happen under them.

Mine goes up automatically and if it encounters resistance, it goes back down again. I guess this is too hard for Tesla.
