This is a very different claim from the one you’re trying to see.

It saw how it was made, and (incorrectly?) inferred the best way to reproduce was to simulate humanity starting in 2012 and wait for the simulated humans to create another AI. Natural selection took over, and now we’re in a simulation more optimized for speed-running the development of unregulated AI, while other details get fewer resources.
