No mob is good at nuance, which is frustrating. Black and white mentality bullshit.

Doesn’t matter. Pre-ordering is stupid on any platform.
But, yeah, looks like this isn’t a PS exclusive after all, thank god.

I feel like video games go the opposite way: they do this for the mobs but never for you. So it’s a strategy but it’s always angled against you. It’s just not fun.
There were a lot of mechanics you could abuse in BG3, and many different solutions to different problems. I’ve seen multiple builds that centered around yeeting enemies off cliffs, for example.

The earlier games had that weird pause mechanic that made it seem like turn-based combat, but much more chaotic. I think it would benefit from using something like BG3’s combat engine, but I’m not sure what they would do with the balance.

Cautiously optimistic, but I’m wondering if this is going to turn into some damned Playstation exclusive or not. And I don’t like how much they are pushing this pre-order crap, but I guess that’s every major launch title nowadays.

Control is well worth it. Quite possibly the best translation of a SCP-style universe, while retaining a serious/creative tone throughout.
The first 15 minutes is one of the best intros to a game I’ve ever seen. It latches on to this crazy weirdness in so many directions at once, and frankly, the weirdness doesn’t really stop throughout. As soon as you get the strangest explanations for one mystery, you’re presented with several more.

My point is that I took a famously overrated game that showed a clear disconnect between paid-off journalist shills and users who actually played the game. One of the sites exposed the disconnect. The other gave it a “80% player rating”.

Tried it out with Mixtape: This and this both look the same, except Metacritic exposes the brazen astroturf campaigning going on with this mediocre game. I would also expect OpenCritic to have critics that weren’t directly paid by Annapurna Interactive on the list to drag the score down. Instead, the critic score is even higher.
You’re going to have a pretty tough time with DB0. I don’t think any of us want AI bots posting fake posts or lazy slop bullshit, but many of us just see LLMs as a tool. It’s not the technology’s fault that a bunch of rich assholes want to drive the economy to the ground over it.

Works for me just fine. Are you not using uBlock Origin the way god intended?
Yeah, the text-based style of DF makes it inaccessible for 99% of the potential players.

so they didn’t need the cash infusionoffered by going public. Keeping it private is more profitable.
You think greedy corporations give a shit about “needs” or “long-term plans”? Keeping it private is more profitable in the long term, but most corporations don’t think in those time periods. They think about the next quarter, making that line go up all the time, and when to cash out of their sweet infusion and dump the company.
Valve and, by extension, Gabe’s decision to keep the company private is a choice. He wants a legacy that lasts, and you don’t get that from fucking over your customers or making the company public.
This is the first time I’ve seen a four-way version of this meme.
Yeah, but I’m willing to bet that there are more RimWorld players than Dwarf Fortress players.

Nobody is focusing on the grocery price collusion that keeps it high.
If groceries can universally raise prices, what the fuck are you going to do about it? Not buy food?

Laughs in Raspberry Pi running retro games in Linux on 4GB of RAM.

Especially when the price of consoles are matching PCs. The price of being that lazy is too high, and that’s not even factoring the advantages of everything you get out of a PC.

Fiddling with a PC? You buy a PC and it’s done. Install Steam, install games, let’s go.
At best, if you want to switch OSs or try out new things, you’ll spend some time learning how that works. And if you want to try to stretch out the longevity, you can get new RAM, new video card, a replacement CPU. But, all of that is your choice.
As a bonus, you get something way way more powerful than a console that has a web browser, document editor, video/music player, Jellyfin server, streaming platform, whatever you want.

I mean, really, most of Weebl’s stuff should be preserved: Amazing Horse, Magical Trevor, Crabs, Telephone Dog (“Hello, this is dog!”), Russian Dancing Men, a ton of others I’ve forgot.
You mean like this?
