I had a weird thing happen that kind of fucked me up. I haven’t cried or been able to cry since. Lost a close relative and I saw another explain what happened (it was particularly sad). When he was explaining he started to begin tearing up but swallowed and stone faced. He finished explaining and I haven’t been able to cry since. For clarity, I’ve never had a problem showing emotions or crying. I used to cry at inspirational stuff or sad stuff. Its been around six months now. So when’s the last time you cried? Maybe hearing some stuff will loosen me up.

I had an experience a few years back and stopped crying for 2 years. I cry now but if it’s for personal reasons I often suppress my emotions as it starts and it goes away before I can process anything. Therapy has helped me recently cry longer and stay in a moment, but I understand that’s expensive and even I can’t afford it. I hope you are able to process things.

I hope all the best for you. If it feels like you’ve hit an impasse, I have found psychotherapy technics the most effective; Emotion Image Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. The first one I think might be more beneficial to you if you still feel the same in the future. Anyhow I hope this helps and please don’t mind my terrible spelling.

I’m really proud of you for seeking therapy. I hope it goes well and is effective for you. It often can make you go through periods of feeling worse before better. If it’s only worse without better, consider changing therapists after a couple or three months. Best to you.
