    here’s one: pluto is not a planet. i remember they told us about this in school but it turns out that wasnt true, it was just made up.

          It’s a joke man. Settle down.

          Pluto’s status as a planet is a long-standing controversy which has lead to many often serious online debates, often hilarious. Your example for your post invites the debates here. Hence, starting shit.

          Pluto is a dwarf planet or minor planet. Technically still a planet but due to it not meeting the criteria for major planet status, the powers that be decided it needed demotion.

          Ceres in the asteroid belt is another example of a dwarf planet.

          No disrespect to you. Just a common joke.

      It was true at the time, but it isn’t true anymore.

      Since then, we nailed down the definition of “planet”, and Pluto (along with Ceres, Eris, Haumea, Makemake, and others) don’t meet the requirements.
