Um Vera is an ARM cpu.
Seems to be AI orientated
Not sure, how it would perform as a complete replacement of a typical x86 arch CPU in a normal workstation - besides being ARM will make it a bit harder to get software
Although there have been some steps in that direction on the Linux front, I haven’t tried it myself.So, basically it’s designed for AI data centers…
Edit: just wanted to add some information. You’re right, that the article seems to have got this wrong
its worded weirdly but I took it to mean
“its encouraging arm adoption to of the x86 market, at the expense of x86 manufacturers amd and intel”
