Paris’ oldest bridge has vanished. This week, the artist known as the “French Banksy,” JR, inflated a giant “cave” over the Pont Neuf — a monumental, rocky illusion swallowing the 17th-century landmark whole. (AP video by Alexander Turnbull and Nicolas Garriga)

Banksy is not doing “big official stuff set up by a huge team, and funded by one of the Daftpunks.” The comparison is kind of an insult.

It’s literally just a cool thing to look at. Not that deep.

Maybe just enjoy the view, sourpuss.

(Not that I disagree. Christo and Jeanne-Claude would be a better comparison.)

We already had a lot of so called artists wrapping bridges in Paris with toilet paper or useless plastic stuff. It’s kind of a meme at that point. I’m not impressed anymore.
