The American people have no power or say in this whatsoever. Their choice is between two fascist candidates provided for them by the Epstein Class.
Our only power is local.
Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.
I’m single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.
ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.
Also, I refuse to use Donald’s last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

My thoughts as well.
Old people like the same shit as young people when it comes to gaming. Ever played D&D?

If I had that dude’s wealth I would be putting so many artists on my payroll.

It won’t ever be legal, but I don’t think that’s going to matter. These data centers are threatening hundreds of communities’ basic survival, and there are so many people in this country that are struggling and ready to snap.

It’s not as if we don’t know.
It’s been twelve years since the leaks came out about FB using people’s news feeds to manipulate them, after all. This is Big Tech’s end goal, to take away any agency you might have around use of tech products.

It’s going to be really, really frustrating watching Democrats campaign in support of AI companies this fall.
But this is a good reminder. Your only power now is local, so take an interest in your neighborhood and fight for it.

Fuck that.
Look at Texas. It never, ever works.
But it’s not supposed to be good. It’s just a way to sink cash into a few donors’ pockets.

I’ve been seeing a lot of bees around my neighborhood this year. More than recent years. It gives me a sliver of hope.

I don’t know.
I do know that I have a fan, probably someone I blocked, that takes the time to downvote every single post and reply I make. Doesn’t matter the community. Doesn’t matter what I say.

I don’t think we know definitively just yet, but that it’s all happening right now suggests to me that potentially these tanks weren’t constructed well for handling increases in heat?

I think they’re referring to the various incidents of chemical tanks being unstable lately, and then making the news. It’s happened all over the country.

Yeah, that’s how it is here in Kansas City.
It’s not feasible to build a data center in the metro, but you can go 20-30 miles out and they’re in the process of being built, including one in my hometown. I hate that I’m stuck rooting for an economic crash in order to stop all this, because we know definitively that our elected representatives don’t represent us.

It’s nice to see a handful of Dems trying to do something on Iran.
I just remember the Slotkins and Schumers of the world back in March just tossing their hands in the air and saying some variant of: “We’re in it. Now we have to support the troops.” (Meaning, approve all funding requests and send WMD’s.)
I don’t think it will matter though. Both ruling parties love war and the money it makes them. We’ll still be dealing with Iran decades from now, long after our esteemed president has fallen asleep in a meeting for the last time.

This is the crux of the issue. Every device equipped with a camera or microphone and a wireless connection is profiling you and sending your data to government databases without a warrant. We know this definitively because of the video footage in the Guthrie kidnapping that the FBI released, footage that shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
And there’s not a whole lot you can do about it, as you presumably have to step outside at some point, and you have no control over the devices your neighbors decide to use outdoors.

This IPO just stinks all around. It is a massive, unashamed pump and dump waiting to happen.
Retail investors get no real voting power. Rules and regulations were changed so that index funds are effectively required to buy into it. The price and valuation are absurd.
The end result will be the US minting a few hundred more billionaires and the world’s first trillionaire, and neither Republicans nor Democrats are standing in the way. In fact, they’re almost certainly benefiting from it themselves in some way even if they aren’t investing in it. After all, someone’s palms got greased in order to make all of this possible.
As with all the circular LLM funding, people are just rushing to get theirs before it all crashes down.

It used to be, and their satellite internet is actually really good product in fact.

Heck yeah it counts as retro. I imagine we all have happy memories of that little game.

What’s hard is living in a country that seems to care more about this snowflake bullshit than health care and wages.

I’m never going to understand people, of any religion or political affiliation, who honestly think they have some kind of right to be free from offense.
Grow the fuck up. Your neighbors’ enjoyment of some dick doesn’t affect you in any meaningful way.
