    Yep.

Corporations already stole our time. They actually managed to steal our homes to be used as offices but were too fucking stupid to realize what that was worth and gave it back because it accidentally made people kinda happy.

I’m fortunately still remote. However, I explicitly had my contract state that if I am to be RTO’d I require a 25% pay raise. I also had a guaranteed severance clause added if I was let go in the first year.

Personally, if they fire me if they did an RTO I wouldn’t care, I have other remote opportunities lined up.

Edit: I’ll never do the 4+ hour total daily commute I was doing before, it sucked the life out of me. (I lived 40 miles from the office…) I would gladly give up 15% pay to keep a remote role.

Wut. I will never complain that my employer “stole my home” because I choose to wfh 40 hours per week.
