So yesterday I was talking about vocaloid music to a friend of mine and how only the paid ones are called vocaloids and the free ones utau. So I decided to set up a small showcase of the open source program.

The setup was incredibly simple and the github is very well layed out. After the installation you have to add in whatever singers you need (called voicebanks). I personally went to the official teto website, since they make it very easy.

And this is the end result!

Overall, this was a very fun couple hours learning and I am just peeking into an abyss of musical possibility I am glad that it’s available to anyone with a computer.
