The entire point of the take over was to stop independent journalism. Why exactly would that change? He’s fine with CBS going bankrupt, all it’s doing for him right now is covering the cost of killing it for him.

The whole point of buying Paramount, TikTok, and WB/HBO/CNN is to build a state propaganda machine. Why spend the money if you aren’t going to use it for evil?
