It’s more about the panic then the market crash. They want irrational actors. Remember in die hard the shitty one about the fire sale. It’s basically that. Aside from the terribly movie, they’re kicking the legs from the pillars of a democracy and in the chaos and vacuum that’s created they can usurp power and authority. Western countries need to identify these efforts better and guard against it.
