Yes, the mental illnesses that fuel — and are cultivated by — fascism (ASPD, narcissism, psychopathy, etc) are a cancer that is terminal. It will continue to grow and metastasize to its logical conclusion unless it is removed. Like a virus or parasite, once it gets large enough it overwhelms the immune system and kills the host. Just look at policing and politics; once the criminals take over they form a cartel of extreme corruption that rewards the evil and destroys the good.

The current levels of selfishness and greed are ultimately incompatible with civilization, which is really just a multitude of intertwining and interdependent complex systems. Ants and bees don’t build their colonies through ruthless competition and fucking each other over. They build through cooperation and doing what’s best for the collective good. Talking apes will either learn this or we will kill the planet, and ourselves.
