This is what people mean when they say AI is the end of the world. Its the end of the conscious world, the end of the knowledgeable world, the end of any hope that anybody but a few white men would ever hold any power in the world.
Spot on. And pointing at AGI or the singularity as the boogeyman instead of the handful of powerful men trying to capture a tool of authoritarian control is really obnoxious to see. People like Sam Altman and Elon Musk just want control of information flow. Among others.
It would be if it worked well enough to actually be widely adopted… as it is, it will still be the end of the world as it will destroy the world’s economy when the bubble pops (or the actual physical world if the bubble takes too long to pop)

The powers that be have figured out how to prevent that. I wouldn’t count on it this time. They want it everywhere, surveiling.
If the “powers that be” rely on this type of AI, they’re finished.
The powers that be have relied off of “good enough” since time immemorial, don’t underestimate what’s happening right now
