I’ve no fucking clue if this is a sequel or prequel now, and I don’t know if I’ll finish the other Three Houses routes (and/or Three Hopes) in time to finally figure out the lore

Awesome, doesn’t look like engage at all, this seems to be as it could be as fun as three houses was to me. Hyped!

So we’re seeing Dagda. Cool. I would have preferred if this game was roughly contemporaneous with 3H so we could see where Shamir came from, but it looks decent nonetheless.

I’ll eventually get around to playing 3H so I can be caught up… but I bounced off the monastery stuff so hard it’s really difficult to get motivated.

I played the shit out of Engage lol. And went back and played Echoes after that. (Fell into the Heroes gacha trap before Echoes came out and that soured me on FE for a good long while.) Won’t feel right to play FW without having the 3H base to build off of.

Hoping for western access to New Mystery, Genealogy, Tharacia, and Binding Blade before too much longer. I’ll take ports or a remake.

Did you ever play the fan-translation versions? I did for Genealogy and it seemed fine until the very end when the translators just apparently gave up. I’m sure there’s an appetite for a proper release of them following Heros and Engage, just not sure the appetite is large enough for N to do it.

I played the fan translation for BB a few times, and started on NM before being annoyed at being tied to my PC to play. Have yet to try either of the SNES games… and I may sound like a filthy casual but I think I’d prefer a remake with modern QoL. I’ve picked up enough through osmosis that I’m not sure I would have the patience for playing the originals lol.

I’m pretty casual (only really played Genealogy, the GBA one with Lynn, Awakening, and Engage), but I quite enjoyed Genealogy… Although I also don’t know if I’d enjoy it as much now if it was just a straight-up rerelease with no upgrades.

Ah, good luck in that case.

Apparently if you don’t want to recruit every member, you don’t have to worry too much about the Monastery part.

Looks pretty good. Hope the difference in different stories isn’t that much that I have to play it 4 times to see everything.

I actually feel the opposite. One of my gripes with Three Houses is that the default routes are so similar, especially if you recruit everybody on every run, that a lot of it end up feeling like padding for a small amount of extra stuff. (Crimson Flower is radically different to the others, but doesn’t give anything you won’t get on the Verdant Wind and Silver Snow). Three Hopes and Fates, for all their flaws, give more unique experiences in each route.

That’s a valid point. If the routes are different enough that it doesn’t feel like I am playing the same game again and again, then that’s just more game content, but I doubt it will be that different.

        Let’s wait and see!

I would asume you kind of have to. Three Houses was very popular and took for sure a lot from that game. And usually in Sacred Stones, Fates, Three Houses you have to play multpiple times to get the full story. Think it looks good as well and my september prediction was correct
