Same as it always was. Republicans added trillions to the debt already, with more to come, and will then play the part of budget hawk as soon as they’ve just power and dumped it on the Democrats. They’ve done that for every administration in my lifetime. “Fiscal conservative” is as much an obvious lie as “compassionate conservative”.
