I check Google maps for reviews on local businesses, Amazon reviews for products, but for fediverse instances, AFAIK, there are no reviews

One thing, in the threadiverse it’s generally called a community rather than a “sublemmy”, the urls use /c/.

Though unfortunately I’m not aware of a specific community to request communities, usually the answer around here is “be the change you want to see”, if you want one, try making/running one, maybe it’ll catch on 🤷.

One thing though is its going to be difficult to host something like that on any instance and it remain neutral lol.

See the sidebar in [email protected], where you can find some related communities.

Generally people don’t change instances (the site where you made an account) that much, so there is less discussion comparing them. People usually make an account on one site and then don’t move unless there’s a significant issue, and so people tend to only know what their home instance is like. There are some exceptions and controversies, which you might find posted about in places like [email protected]

Otherwise if you want to discuss communities or request communities, see [email protected] or [email protected]
