You are saying that from a libertarian perspective (or seem to). The Australian government’s social media controls for children are very popular here as social media is very harmful to children.
You can’t compare that to America bombing a girl’s school and killing 174 children by your military, and in your country’s name.
Just because people in Australia trust the wrong people, or less charitably are fucking stupid, doesn’t mean they would support what is happening if they pulled their head out of the ass of the billionaires.
