Eww, I got classist identity politics propaganda in my feed.

Don’t spread classist propaganda. Overalls are sturdy trousers for heavy work. The one on the top’s job is to look pretty. The one on the bottom does some hard, manual labour in these clothes.

I’m not saying one’s better than the other. Just that these people are graded on the same scale thah different jobs don’t satisfy.

Interesting take. I didn’t see this as classist. I saw this as attractiveness preference. OP is only attracted to people in overalls if they have big manly hands that they use to save you or feed you.

That said, my wife looks great in overalls so I don’t agree with OP.

See we just made a post about how joking about women doing plastic surgery isn’t funny.

But this isn’t even that. It’s straight up not a mene. It’s just you telling you find fat men in overall repulsive. That’s your choice. But it’s not a meme

That’s what the garment is called. The ones with sleeves and everything are called coveralls.

dictionary is generally very slow to update definitions like that… a general web search will give you a more accurate idea…

It’s true - I remember a dictionary on my parents’ shelves and it hasn’t updated for decades!

Granted, the “overall” search also gave me at least some of those trousers, but generally it seemed to favour the distinction.

It’s almost like there are different versions of the English language, and search engines are designed to give you results that favor your region/version.

So… a dictionary is too slow and the Internet is too local. Any other means I should use to look up meanings of words?

Yes? It isn’t complicated. Both are correct, but I would add that the word dungarees is effectively non-existent in American English, maybe 1 in 100 people would know what you are talking about off you used that word here. And coveralls are the only word we would use to describe what you call overalls. And the only word we use for what you call dungarees is overalls.

This is exactly it. Hot people don’t need fashion to look hot, it’s just the fuckers in the middle that want us all to think clothes are so important

there was a former coworker who wore overalls and he pretty much workouts at a gym, so yea it works for buff guys. fat people dont fit clothes very well so its very unappealing to the eyes.
