Fuck the NYTimes. They might as well be epstein associates, and I’m not certain their owners and editors are not actively blackmailed by Israel, that is probably why the editors were chosen for their positions.

I’ve been saying for a while now that Trump and Netanyahu have fundamentally different goals in this war.
Which is exactly why all the celebration about it being over is deeply premature. The hardest part of getting a peace deal, for Trump, is not getting the Iranians to agree, it’s getting Israel to agree.
Iran has very clearly and deliberately made any peace contingent on Trump putting a muzzle on Israel. Which means now he has to figure out how to say no to a nation that is more deeply enmeshed in US domestic politics than any other foreign power in the world. AIPAC can guarantee a blue tidal wave in November if they want to.
The most significant moment called out in this entire article is this right here;
Hanoch Milwidsky, a lawmaker from Mr. Netanyahu’s Likud party, posted a video on social media of himself removing a red MAGA hat and replacing it with a blue one with the Hebrew words for “total victory.”
Israel absolutely has the ability to make good on that threat. If they come to see Trump and the MAGA GOP as a danger to their national interests, the damage they can do to them is overwhelming. And that’s without even getting into the fact that Mossad probably has the full unredacted Epstein files and more besides. And failing all of that, they’re entirely capable of just assassinating the motherfucker.
The US vs Iran was a side show. The real fight - Trump vs AIPAC - is just starting.
It should be US vs AIPAC.
I do think the staggering irony in all of this is that Trump’s narcissistic stupidity might be the thing that finally breaks Israel’s hold over the US.
But considering that this really all comes down to Trump’s collapsing popularity, I just don’t know what wins out here. Failing to come up with some kind of solution to the unnecessary war he dragged America into completely fucks him, but so does losing the Israel lobby. Trump is caught between two options that are both, politically speaking, apocalyptically bad. I really don’t know which way this is going to go. Given the way Trump is talking it certainly sounds like he’s had it with Netanyahu, but will that last once AIPAC starts openly funding Democrats in every house and senate race?
Well, yeah, for Israel this is hilariously catastrophic. Sugar daddy USA doesn’t feel like fighting your wars for you anymore. Whomp whomp.
If you don’t like the way someone else fights your wars for you, you should either do it yourself or STFU.
