    thanks. we just got a costco bouquet. they haven’t had anything cat-toxic in them before, so this is surprising. guess we’re sticking with roses for the cats for a while

    both cats are acting normally, so I’m hoping this is a plant misidentification but that shit is gone.

      It’s not super bad, like lilies. More of an irritant than a toxin. It could also be true queen Anne’s lace, which is also mildly toxic.

      My initial thought was poison hemlock, but Costco wouldn’t sell that. It grows in ditches around here and not everyone knows you shouldn’t handle it or make bouquets, since it’s pretty. It’s the poison that Socrates drank for his execution.
