🤔 Interesting

Capitalism HATES free things and sharing of value because it directly hurts their own bottom lines. If a village is sharing a hammer then they wont buy a new one until that one breaks, but if you alienate everyone from their neighbors and nobody trusts anybody and nobody shares anything…well now you can sell hammers to everyone.
Point is, keep an eye out for contributions to open source projects being labeled as terrorism or something.
What did they expect to happen?
Nothing is sacred, and there is no honor among thieves.
The ruling class only seek to exploit. They took away the trees and charged us for the fruit. They took away the streams and sold us back the water.
I recorded and copyrighted a WAV of myself farting once, and now I hear it everywhere. Fuck AI firms.
It’s not weird, it’s capitalism!!
*Costing billions, not worth billions. There is a difference.
Those ai data centres, etc, may cost someone or something a gazillion billion, but they sure ain’t worth it.
Weird is not even remotely the correct word. $$$
You just crossposted ai slop to fuck_ai
Pretty sure it’s not AI mate
It most definitely is. This guy is posting straight up AI slop for engagement farming
https://x.com/suraj_sharma14/status/2068756071838318977
and pro-AI bullshit

They got you
I noticed a while ago that this sub was going to need a heavy hand because these guys get off on posting to ai hate forums, being able to discern ai posts from real ones is not a pre-requisite for hating ai – but we have to help each other not get scammed into engaging with it however we can.
Damn, I was going benefit of the doubt of just terrible at writing
Out of interest, what about open weight models?
It’s not even slightly weird. It’s how every industry has worked outside of the humanities.
Terrible analogy.
The library everyone built is still there, free of charge for everyone to use.
What AI companies have built is an assistant who has photographic memory and has read everything in the library.
You’re still free to use the library to find what you want, but the library is not using the Dewey decimal system.
You’re also free to build your own knowledge base using the information from the library if you want to, and charge for access or give it away for free.
What AI companies have built is an assistant who has photographic memory and has read everything in the library.
And tells you to eat rocks and glue.
Because people on Reddit said to, and it read that and remembered it.
Yeah, that’s my point. Not sure why you think “it will mindlessly regurgitate whatever it reads” is supposed to be a defense.
The point is that that’s what’s in the library.
No one ever said it doesn’t “mindlessly regurgitate what it reads”.
Lots of people have said that it’s a great assistant because of how much it’s read.
Lots of people think it’s infallible.
Lots of people even think it’s fucking sentient.
Photographic memory isn’t quite right. It’s more like photographic memory with a side of alzheimer’s. It can oscillate back and forth between knowing everything and making things up, leaving it unreliable.
It has photographic memory, but it doesn’t necessarily understand everything it’s remembering.
The xitter post is probably made using AI and AI has this habit of stuffing analogies as a puchline everywhere.
