Wasn’t that guy shady af and probably an op though? Not that Jeffries isn’t a PoS, but I remembered that guy sounding like he’d do more damage to the left than help.
Thanks! Stupid paywalls though I found an article that speaks of it. Though its less about Mamdani endorsing Jeffries and more that he didn’t endorse a DSA member.
I don’t know, on one hand, I definitely want AIPAC Shakur replaced by a DSA member. On the other, I don’t know if Oche would have had a big chance of winning against.
The article I shared was already talking about Mamdani pushing for Goldman to be ousted even back then, and we’ve seen results there. I think the article I shared shows some practicality of consolidating power in an area and expanding from there.
I think people underestimate how unpopular Jeffries is. Now the alleged logic of Mamdani is that he wanted to start small and not instantly piss off all the establishment Democrats But it did feel like he was just pulling up the ladder after himself.
Mamdani used his power to convince the DSA not to endorse the challenger to Jeffries, which is even worse than just endorsing Jeffries.
The latest win by Mamdani was some small fries, which is cool and all, but he’s certainly not yet challenging any real power. And Hakeem Jeffries is already calling for Mamdani to be put in his place.
Mamdani could have had a shot earlier against Jeffries, but Mamdani has compromised on many picks too such as Jessica Tish for his police chief, endorsing Kathy Hockul for governor etcetera.
In any case. I don’t think Mamdani is nearly as bad as someone like Graham Platner, so I won’t waste much of my time on him, but I don’t think he’s going to achieve his goal with all these massive compromises.
True, the early compromises were unfortunate because of how big they were! I can only hope that the small fries wins builds a strong foundation or something.
It definitely sucks that we’ll have to see Jeffries stupid face until the next elections.
It reminds me of when “the squad” popped up and everyone said they were going to take over but now AOC just keeps endlessly compromising and endorsing establishment Democrats with a few mild progressives here, but she actually opposes many progressives now like Maureen Galindo and endorses pro-ICE Zionist cops instead. At this rate it’s going to take 500 years to get something done at which point it probably won’t happen anyways.
That’s why people say that any politician who does entryism and compromises eventually just turns into an establishment ghoul because if you compromise once you can keep compromising again and again.
Oh? I thought it was the other way around - Jeffries endorsed mamdani (albeit begrudgingly). Do you have link?

I think you’re talking about the guy who was a soldier and has a Nazi tattoo that he claims that “he didn’t know” what it stood for
He knew what that tattoo stood for.
True, edited language slightly
No, what the hell, lol.
