JFK replaced the chairman of the joint chiefs (Lemnitzer) for bringing that BS domestic terrorism (operation North Woods) to his desk. That was a kindness really, the guy should have been put in jail. Lemnitzer also really wanted to nuke Cuba too. He was a fascist idiot.

Unfortunately there are still fascist idiots in the American government right now so not much has changed! But yeah glad they did not Nuke Cuba. That would have been bad.
