The Pius Brotherhood is a rather insignificant group within (and now outside) the catholic church. Chances are that they will go extinct, as recruiting new members for a beyond yesterday idea is not that likely.
Have you ever met any? They overlap with the white nationalist, trad wives, great replacement theory gotta “outbreed those pesky immigrants with any pigment to their skin”, homeschooling, full bore brainwashing characteristics. Those nutters aren’t dying out from lack of new recruits, they’ll hold on through reinforcement via even more children.
Source: raised in 'em (not Pius, a different but similar faction) and while I left, every single peer I had, now fully grown women, have at least a half dozen kids each to make up for my one -1 to the count. One has 15 kids to date with enough years for at least a couple more; her mom had over a dozen too.
Fun playing devil’s advocate now when I let familial obligations put me in contact with them. My recent favorite has been to get them going on how Catholic monarchy is what this country needs, as in the pope (obvs not Leo now) appoints the US king. Then I throw the curveball and ask what if the pope appoints a US queen?
Yes, they are definitely right-wingers. But I’m not sure if breeding like rabbits will safe them. Their “retention rates” once the kids grow up are not that good, at least here in Europe. In the US, where they have the home schooling mistake, this may differ, but that would make it just another crazy American fringe group on the long run.
