The org is called Humans First, and they’re trying to have a 50501-style nationwide protest about it on July 18th. The cool new shill tactic is to pretend to be anti-AI or “concerned about AI” so they can hijack the conversation and re-direct people’s focus away from actual change and regulation. They bring up do-nothing solutions like “Local LLMs” or a there being a “public stake” in the industry.
