There are 16 that are already bought and paid for. Those are in production. There are 14 more that the government recently paid deposits on to keep their place in line for production. Then there’s another 58 that have neither been paid in full nor had deposits paid.
Still going with it. I would say my spending on US products/services and use of US platforms is down probably 90%-95% from what it was 18 months ago.
Not surprised, but still disappointing. Had my hopes up for a second, against my better judgment. X is top of the list for tech to block and yet our government ministers and PM at still on there using it.
There is no sovereignty if you integrate closed models into all your services. The US uses sanctions non-stop. Imagine the power they’ll have when other countries have their actual public services and half their economy dependent on AI models that can be throttled or cut off at the flip of a switch. Closed, corporate-owned models regulated by a foreign country are a massive risk for any country hoping to be sovereign.
It may not be a phone, but that is delivery of the most authentic Trump brand experience. He could not have delivered them anything more on-brand than that email. If they just treat the whole thing as performance art, they’ll realize it’s exactly what they paid for.
