There’s almost always a backstory for why the makers choose the name they did, but that doesn’t change the harmful result. A bad name seriously limits how much the software will ever get adopted. Heck, if there was a FOSS project i cared about enough then i would fork it and keep everything the same except give it a more palatable name.

Why do useful FOSS things always have the worst names that make it hard to spread.

Seeing the pic of it makes it a microscopic iota easier to understand how the mistake happened, but very clearly any person who’s capable of driving shouldn’t ever make that mistake. And even if a person accidentally started turning on to the tracks, any mentally capable driver would’ve immediately recognized that it was totally wrong and backed out of it.
Can you imagine how terribly wrong the car motion would’ve felt as soon as the metal tracks rose above the road surface?
That last sentence is especially important. The vast majority of the times when cyclists break traffic laws is WHEN THEY’RE FORCED TO.

Agreed, each person should have their own space that no other passenger can alter. If you want to recline it should be within your own space. For example the seat butt should slide forward, or you should get an angled pillow to put behind your back. Or alternatively all seats should be reclined 100% of the time and you should get an up-slanted pillow for your back so you can sit upright.
However it’s done, everyone should have the exact same amount of space that no one else can alter
