I bought one like this recently, because I shave my head and without one it’s either too cold or too sunny. I love it, but my kids keep saying it’s an “old man’s hat”. I don’t care, I’ve had people in the street stop me to tell me it looks good .


I don’t know if it’s actually feasible, but if it’s really unobtrusive and clearly stated then yes I think that would be fair game.


First, crypto is mostly a scam. But if it’s clearly said that visiting the site will use 100% of your cpu, drain the battery and make your device crawl while the fans go crazy, then sure why not. Otherwise it’s a dark pattern. And I thought mining on cpus was near useless these days, but that may depend on the specific blockchain used.

I never lived in a pedestrians-only street myself so I don’t know. Occasional access for residents may be tolerated. In the case of the photo above it’s not clear whether there are resident buldings, but it’s amazing what muscles and/or money can do.
