End users just want to use shit.

This is unfortunately the world of open-source.

1. Nerd tells you to use the open-source thing.
2. Non-technical tries it and asks questions
3. Nerd proclaims it’s not a real problem/your fault/not applicable/fix it yourself
4. Some company takes that open-source version or idea, makes it easier for end users and monetize it
5. Nerd gets angry and repeats step 1

I haven’t used Kindles personally ever, but I helped my neighbor export their kindle collection a few years ago.

It dumped it into mobi files to use with calibre. Then from there, you can convert them into epubs.

I recall it being straightforward. Probably something a kindle owner should do periodically to back up their collection.

I don’t see it that way. Long vehicles at IKEA, Lowe’s, hell even Michael’s – I don’t care. Their parking lots are built for that. And the stuff they get.

When I was growing up, Military Vets in my mind were like 60+ yos who have a lifetime of wisdom.

Today, half the military vets at my job are around 30 years old, and while proud to serve, commiserate over how fucked up it was.

Where the other half are around 45yo and complain about how difficult it is to get support and strongly tell their children not to join the military.

It’s absolutely frustrating.

The “Guys you really shouldn’t punch a Nazi they’re just misunderstood UwU” assholes online really never had to deal with these racist hateful mofos.
