Can I be your someone special for Megaten?

So we’re going to roll back those PR’s for systemd and the like right? Or are we going to keep them because Brazil? Oh who am I kidding, those are here to stay.

And who’s fault is that Nvidia? Hmm?
Oh who am I kidding, they don’t care… They prefer it this way.

Interesting, I’ll take a look. Thanks.

Nice! I didn’t know they’ve been around that long. I was looking at the Vex Go education kit.
https://www.vexrobotics.com/go-kits.html
That seems about right for his age group and the kit will let me build my own alongside him.

Cool, will do.

That’s good, I did come across these guys but wasn’t sure about the quality. If you’ve used it before though, what do you like about the quality? Is it that everything feels solid or that the software isn’t buggy, etc?
Just trying to get a feel for the product before/if I buy.
Thanks!

Awesome, thank you. I’ll look into this one. I don’t think I came across it in my prior research. Thank you for the article too.

It’s definitely conflicting for me.
On the one hand, money for Krafton…
On the other, if they reach certain milestones, which it looks like they almost certainly will, then Krafton is required to pay out the $250 million…and the drama seems to have entirely come from Krafton.
So if I get the game, I contribute toward embarrassing Krafton since their CEO did this stunt entirely to avoid the “embarrassment” of paying it out and I get a game that’ll likely be very good from devs with a good track record.
In the short term, Krafton gets money from the purchase and if the milestone doesn’t get met, then they don’t have to pay out anything thereby getting my money as a net benefit…

Nano and I’ve actually started using Helix which I like a lot. It’s keybinds make more sense to me than vim.

Hey this sounds pretty great! I’m going to give this a shot.

Oh damn lol. Brave.
Just took a look at the pinecil. That looks pretty slick. Have you run into any issues with it? Battery not lasting or it not getting hot enough?

That’s the name! I kept thinking Krafton but no…that’s the company who’s in trouble for doing those shenanigans with Subnautica 2 lol.

ok Thanks, I’ll take a look around for those.

ok cool, I’ll take a loko for those.

Pinecil, haven’t heard of that. I’ll take a look, thanks! Is there anything you used to practice ahead of time? Before jumping right into the actually hardware you were trying to fix?

Lol yeah I’ve seen people use fancy microscope looking things and using that orange tape to tape it to a surface depending on where they to solder.

Oh thanks! I’ll take a look.
Is there something I can use for practice? Or how did you learn to actually do it?
I love seeing that stuff too! I tried it a long time ago on Windows with Rainmeter. Got one looking like Persona theming and another with Calvin and Hobbes. May try to get back into it now that I’m on Linux.
