I was once standing at international arrivals at Heathrow T5. There was a bald chap standing down the rail . . looked just like Patrick Stewart. Eventually a younger girl (daughter??) came out, ran over to give him a hug . . and I could hear him speak . . oh, that IS Patrick Stewart. His voice is rather distinctive.

If by “for a while” you mean “until I’m dead” . . then yea, sure. Any other definition . . no chance in hell.

Ironic . . as I use a burner phone when traveling to the USA.

It’s more like “Operation White Flag”. Strategically, this ends in a major loss for the USA. The only winning move was not to play . . as every other US President since Jimmy Carter was smart enough to understand. The 2 remaining choices are: commit the entire DOD to a ground invasion of the Iran homeland . . or lose. And there is no sign the DOD is ramping up for a ground war.

I drive an MGS5 EV - MG is a British brand, but it’s manufactured by SAIC Motors. Every bit a Chinese company. I traded a VW ID.4 for it . . and WHAT AN UPGRADE. Better across the board - faster charging, longer real world range, much, MUCH better software . . . all for 25% less than the ID.4.
Jim Farley is right to be terrified . . . Both the American and the German legacy car companies are screwed.
100% UK based and unlike Startpage and Qwant . . .uses 100% it’s own crawlers.
Be warned: you will NOT get the same results as Google, Bing, Startpage . . Sometimes that’s helpful . . sometimes not.
You’ll need to be of a certain age to remember this . . but for those of us who are . . THANK YOU!

I wasn’t going to go THAT far . . . but I can’t disagree with a word you wrote. Take my upvote.

Add me to your beta list . .please!

His technical chops are without question. However he has been so over the top obnoxious to MANY other leaders in the privacy space. He really hurts his own cause by refusing to acknowledge there are other threat models that can be solved with other answers.

I was on a Southwest flight years ago coming into Chicago Midway. Part way thru the descent, an AC pack on one engines burned out, filling the cabin with smoke. The plane went into a slightly steeper than normal descent for 90 seconds - smoke, a diving plane . . lots of screaming and crying. And then something I’ve never felt on a plane again - a humid and strong wind blowing on my face. The plane levels out, the captain comes over the PA and apologies, says we just dropped below 10,000 feet . . . and he opened the window in the cockpit to blow out the smoke. Except for some stained underpants . . we landed uneventfully 15 minutes later.

I plan on retiring next year. My bookmark collection is so large, collected over the last 2 decades . . I’ve put this task on my “things to do in the first year” bucket. I expect it will take me days and days to sort through!
Uber???
Serious suggestion - install Shelter and move both WhatsApp and Uber into your work profile. That has a number of advantages - keeping them away from your contacts and gives you the ability to suspend all closed source apps with a single click.

1,000 times this. Rot in hell.

Clearly your question was honest and well intentioned, but without meaning to, you’ve stumbled into what must be one of the most pointless and mean spirited online security debates. That is the online wars between GOS, /e/ and LineageOS supporters - although to be fair, that is mostly hate coming from the GOS camp to everyone else.
ANY of the 3 - GOS, /e/ or LineageOS is LIGHT YEARS ahead of stock Android for privacy. Each have their pros and cons - what’s best for YOU depends on your own personal situation (TARA model).

I’ve worked in Dubai and had the opportunity to drive with a local to Muscat. It was interesting, but . . . only because he was local and knew a few cool beaches and inlets to stop into on the drive. If I had been doing that drive alone . . well, you nailed it in your OP. Oman is rather . . sparse. And as for Muscat itself . . well, in a region with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha & Bahrain . . . its hard to justify as a top 10 tourist destination.
tl;dr: Glad a saw it . . I won’t go out of my way to see it again.

Another big upvote for Metrolist. IMO its the best of them.

I was an early ID.4 owner (past tense). After that brief and painful experience, all I can say is I feel very sorry for the residents of Tel Aviv.
Seek help my deeply troubled friend.
